Xmas on Belmore



This year the chambers Christmas on Belmore Festivities will be on

Friday 16th December 2011 from 5pm to 8.30pm.

We are asking retailers to remain open until 8pm for late night shopping as there will be so many people around for the festivities. Please note that Piper Street from Belmore Street to Hovell Street will be closed to traffic from 2.30pm so that the Children’s entertainment can be set up. Please remove your cars from the Car Park prior to 2.30pm. There is FREE parking available behind the Yarrawonga Hotel.

We envisage that the Program subject to pending approval will be as follows:-

5pm to 8.15pm - Childrens Amusements on the corner of Piper & Belmore Streets.
5pm to 8.00pm - Farmers Market stalls & late night shopping along Belmore Street
5.00pm - Christmas Dress Up Competition outside Little Tots Shop
5.15pm - Sausage Eating Competition outside Belmore Butchery
6.30pm - Christmas Carols by Ecumenical Choir outside Town Hall
7pm - Santa’s appearance from Balcony of Town Hall
7pm – 7..15pm - Santa & Rucco intermingling with the Children.
7.30 – 8pm - Procession of Vintage Cars & Emergency vehicles, Floats, &
Horses & Carts led by Santa & Rucco in the Fire Engines.
8.30pm - Draw of $1,000 Shopping Spree Voucher outside Kiosk.

PRIZE DRAW

Please note that customers are required to keep their receipts of their purchases over $10 for the month of December. To enter into the Draw they will need to bring their dated receipts to the kiosk on 17th December from 5pm to be stamped then they will be given a ticket to be completed and be placed into the barrel or tub.
 
The winner will be drawn at 8.30pm and they must be present to win. The idea of the Shopping Spree draw is to encourage people to shop locally during the festive season. The prize voucher can be spent in any Chamber member’s business.

If you would like to donate any further prizes either for the Sausage Eating Competition or as minor prizes leading up to the major Draw and have your business promoted over the PA system please drop them into Chris Gardner at O’Meara Kennedy First National Real Estate, 91 Belmore Street prior to 16th December or drop them into the kiosk on the evening.

Should any Chamber member wish to have any adverts over the PA system during the evening, please drop the Script into the kiosk or into my office.
